Freeze brand and an ear tag with same number. be sure to cut your twine strings or net wrap off the bale before putting it in the hay feeder. We have very little problem now since we make sure and get that all off. Our tags are laser etched i believe but can't remeber now? the numbers have stayed on really well, but they are only 4 years old.
