With a L3 we shave the ground. Takes time but that's what we set our combines for.

When it's a rocky field then it's up a bit.


X2. You can have your cake and eat it too with a L series. Walker loss is basically impossible, and the raddle system separates it enough the extra straw volume doesnt bother it. We did some forage triticale for seed one time in Idaho, and it went down when the wind came up last watering, and so we were on the ground sucking it ALL in, and still had a good sample and low to no loss.
