North of London | That is interesting that no new roads paved in 40 years.
Many of our concession roads are paved now and that has happened in the last 10-20 years.
Claim is that is cheaper than fresh gravel, grading several times and dust control.
Pavement on our road was put down at least 10 years ago and tar and chips couple years ago.
looks like it will last several more years before another surface is needed
I think there is an additional cost for sand on hard surface in winter compared to gravel but then they have to scarify the gravel sometimes if ice builds up so that would cost too. | |
