So we got the acreage.. but not the forecast they were..

https://www.usda.gov/oce/commodity/wasde/wasde0620.pdf

97 planted x .92 = 89.6 x 178.5 = 15,995 in the Last WASDE

Now..

92 intended.. of which 91 got in.. x .92 = 83.72 x say.. 175 = 14,651

"poof"

We just lost 1.3 Billion bushels...

and next year's carryout goes sub 2.5.. maybe 2.25..??

back to where we were at 2,221 carry in for 2019

and the funds are short eh??

lol

come to papa...

Let the Weather markets begin.

Is 175 too low of a yield?

Also, demand need to fire up.....

Just my simple thoughts.

Don’t forget the 200-300 mb carryover add this year from today grain stocks. And with higher prices and stocks next year usage is defiantly in doubt.

How does it look if you take that 175 to 182? At this point it still looks to me like a 15+ bb crop.

This is nothing that some pent up demand and some panic buying can’t overcome. :)

Look at the crop ratings in the east before you make an assessment about Illinois. Indiana and Ohio. Are the crops there improving with the weather, yes, and it's been reflected in the latest crop ratings. But today knowone knows how it will end. It's all speculation.

That's why the market gives you an opportunity to get something done...before it figures out reality.

"Export Sales report."

USDA Washington 7/1/20

China booked 1.5 mmt's of corn yesterday before the USDA report.
China booked 500 mt's of Soybeans
China booked 1.25 mmt's of wheat
China booked ethanol.. pork.. beef..etc."

or sub India for China..

Longshot?  maybe.. tomorrow.. probably not.. before harvest?  possible..

Demand numbers are not solid but move.. as does supply.. see today's report.

Yes I believe there is value at these prices.  Maybe putting all the acreage into butterfly habitat was a mistake on my part..???
