SW “Ohia” | conservation cop,
My Grandmother would be hysterical if an owl perched like that. She’s from Germany and grew up with the folklore that owls are bad luck; an omen of something happening.
In 1970 an owl perched on a fence outside the window of her house and stared into the kitchen all night. My mother, who was 7 years old at the time, distinctly remembers it and so does Grandma. The next day her husband, my grandfather, was killed in an industrial accident.
