After the lifetime of tending to them, they die or are killed. Then they get ripped out to make the farming easier. Rarely do they get replaced.
All too true!
What's real interesting is that there are some studies form some 20 odd years ago where they showed the value of a shelterbeld -- - 1 row per quarter.
IIRC something like 4% of the ground was used yet there was around 6% better cropping results.
Dunno - - - but I would think that means a row of trees on a quarter actually makes you money.
If only all the other things on a farm did! |
