Oops! Already did before I read your post. If it is any consolation I lost all my sugar cravings about 6 months in on a low carb/keto diet. I don't have them at all any more. The biggest thing I had a hard time giving up was Diet Dr Pepper. Being diabetic I had given up most of the direct sugar years ago (though still had a hard time passing up soft serve frozen yogurt at Braums as a treat) so was off regular soda pop. When I found out I was diabetic (golly, must be 30 years ago now), I mixed regular Pepsi and Diet Pepsi (my go to drink at that time) and drank that two weeks before going all the way to diet sodas. But that sweet taste (along with lots of salt - sodas are salty to cover up the sweet and that makes them terribly addictive) was really hard for me to give up. Oh, and Dutch almond soft cookies when I was over wintering in Bonaire - to die for. But I digress. What's the problem? Just take a little more insulin..................... right (sarcasm). But once I went cold turkey on getting off the diet soda, life became a lot easier with sweet cravings. Now I like tart tastes instead of sweet. I put a splash of lemon juice in my plain soda water. I like plain yogurt with just a few blueberries of just a tiny burst of sweet. Mostly tart. I know if I started drinking diet sodas or using artificial sweeteners again my sweet cravings would come back. So I just avoid them altogether. John
