sw ontario | We own a fendt 824 and a puma 240, the puma will walk circles around the 824. Case ih has boost and the fendt doesn’t. I’m guessing in the real world a 280 magnum would eat the 828 for lunch as well in the power department. That being said the fendt will be smoother to drive and probably more durable overall. Although I’ve had a mechanic tell me that the 828 is getting a little on the big size for what the engine can handle. For what you will be doing with it my opinion would still be the fendt, maybe consider a 900 series though. One last thing to consider with the fendt is that they don’t all setup well for row cropping. On the previous generation 900 you have to set the fronts out on 120”s to take 30” rows the mains one the back can get down close to 60” with a custom rim. I’m not sure how the 800 series would be, but I’m guessing it would be a challenge to row crop as well. | |
