Subject: RE: Maxxum 140

One more question, I run a 3 point pecan shaker. It clamps on the biggest of trees and shakes pecans out. I would say it requires about 6000lbs of 3 point lift force. I believe the maxxum front 3 point delivers this and possibly more. Question is with class 4 front axle would lifting somthing that is that heavy on the front axle possible? And would the class 4 front end handle it. I have seen some attractive deals on MC units with front 3 point qnd PTO.
Also shaker requires 120 PTO hp. Would the front PTO be able to deliver full power and hold up?

Same shaker I use but not mine.
I also have a 1500lbs roof over my tractor when I am shaking so figure another 750 lbs on front end. Maybe I could put 6000lbs weight on rear 3 point to offset some weight on front? Not sure how that works.
Currently use a 7110 caseIH. It has 18.4 42s on rear and those tires know the weight is there when lifted, I do not run duals.
