Agreed. Another problem is that sometimes even reading the conclusions in the abstract can be wrong because of the researchers bias. And hardly anyone ever gets past reading only the abstract, myself included. I think I have actually only read one study completely through, and then I would not have the expertise to evaluate the statistics properly. That is where guys like Ivor Cummins and Gabor Erdosi or researchers like Jeff Volek, Steve Phinney, Eric Westman, Ben Bikman, etc come in. They actually read and understand the studies. They look at the data and sometimes find things the original researchers missed or misinterpreted in their own data. Few of us have the time or aptitude to fully study the studies ourselves so we have to rely on people like them to do the legwork.
