Subject: RE: $2 gal margin on Glyphosate ?

Tim

In todays world you aren't going to sell much Glyphosate with a $2 margin. You are lucky to have a 50 cent per gal spread. When the generic RUP first came on the market you could make that kind of margin, but not today.

How would you like to be a chem dealer in area that sold a guy $50 per acre of chemicals and insecticide last year. Now the farmer plants 100% of his acres to RR corn with 80% of that to triple stack Now with the cheap generic Bicep and Glyphosate the farmer will spend less than $10 per acre on 80 % of the acres and less than $25 on the other 20%. This will be over a 75% loss in sales. IMO the local chem supplier is going to have the life sucked out him from the big switch to RR corn.
