Absolutely do this ^^^^ first. My radio in my 2013 F250 has gone goofy twice. Power the truck down as you would a computer. I disconnected the positive cable for about a minute. Re-connected and all is well.
I've done that multiple times to mine and it eventually quit working. New radio is on order
2011 F-150 radio quit working.
