You won't see much if you take the Missouri side from STL to Hannibal. I'd jump over and take the river road from I- 270 or Alton. Good scenic drive along the river and go up thru Grafton, its at the junction of the Illinois and Mississippi river, nice river town with lots of small resturants and shops. Pere Marquette Park north of town you can drive to the top of the bluffs, there are some places overlooking the river. There is a ferry you can take into Calhoun county and continue north, different routes you could take and get you to Hannibal.
Yes Alton to grafton will take you right along the river. |
