Western illinois | How much do you want to spend for a nice place to eat in St. Louis? Downtown has a Ruth’s Cris and Carmine’s. Both good but cashy. Imo one of the best meals and reasonably priced is Tucker’s in Soulard. Soulard is just south of downtown a few short minutes by Uber or cab. Lots of neat older buildings in that area. Several hotels close to the Arch. Hilton at the ballpark, Hyatt, Westin, Drury are all walking distance to the arch. Hilton has a rooftop bar with food called 360. It’s a good view day or night. Ballpark village has eats and drinks, but better food outside of it. There are horse and carriage rides available downtown if you’re into that sort of thing. Lots of good advice from others about the road trip. | |
