| After shaving the hide, it needs to be scrubbed GOOD with the isopropyl alcohol. Oil in the hide needs removed. Then leave it soaked with the alcohol before setting the iron on. Seems like the time to hold the iron on vary's, depending on age. I held them on 55 or 60 seconds for cows that were about three and up. I found a cleaning supply place for 98 % ( about ) alcohol. Farm supply or grocery stores alcohol is too weak at 70 or 75% | |
