Subject: Re: Calf limbing on front right leg

When I gave my first calf shots I did it for three straight days and that seemed to cure it right up. We let him go without any shots on the forth day and when I was coming back to look on the 5th day I could not distinguish a limp that he once had. He was probably around the 550 to 600 # range when he started with limp.

The newest calf that is limping is probably by now at least 875 to 950 #. Not for sure if he stepped on something, but will have to have dad monitor him when he goes to the pasture this week to feed them. He is able to put weight on it, but shows a distinguished limp when he does walk. When I get back this weekend from school I will probably shot him with Dex and Penicillin if the condition has not gotten better or has gotten worse which I am hoping doesn't happen.
