OK for a start select a Good variety with yield potential, good standability [especially after alfalfa ]and a decent disease package. Look at the seed size this is measured in seeds per LB, for no tilling with reasonably timely planting I would sugest planting 375-400 live seeds per square yard, 400seeds x 4840 / 13000 seeds lb=149lb acre
planting depth should be 1-1.5 inches deep
