ontario | I've been using BoviShield fp5L5 and they are now promoting it as the only MLV vaccine that can be used on pregnant cows so long as they have been vaccinated with MLV prior and have been done annually .I really like the Gold program as i use it on the calves as well. I sell into a natural beef market so I need to keep the cattle free of antibiotics. So I'm really leaning hard on my vacc program holding up.Haven't had to treat any respritory disease for several years now ,but back when I was using a killed program I did have trouble with BRSV . Kinda feel its the MLV that has given a better immune responce...better protection at a young age anyway. Running 150 cows ,so have lots of opportunity for trouble=) | |
