with your local supplier one on one, show him what you can buy elsewhere for and tell him you would like to buy local if you could . If your local supplier wants to keep your business he will have to adjust his prices. Do not expect him to meet the cheapest price you can find, allow something for the convienance of buying local. There would be some expense having to go further for your supplies, take this into account. I would think that your local supplier would rather make a little less than nothing at all. Nothing like one on one negotiating. My 2 Cents.
