I take ten foot long pieces of well pipe and drive them in the ground six feet. If they are nice neighbors, I will cover it with a piece of PVC with a cap on top if they ask.

If I think there could be an legal issue in the future, I bury pieces of rerod exactly two feet away on all four sides of the post. Then I can find them with a metal detector. I also take lots of photos while doing it. I had a retired judge tell me pictures make their job easier.

What is a good source of such pipe? What size would it be?

We have 3’ diameter wells here .
