Where they EVER got the idea that a phillips head (actually JIS) was a worthy place for a torqued fastener, I'll never know. Buying JIS tools in the US was even more problematic "back in the day".
I doubt many know that there is a difference between a JIS screw and a philips, many a Honda fastener paid a heavy price for my lack of knowledge on that one over the years.... |
