I remember about 10 years ago our vet had a cartoon posted in his office. It showed a dead cow that was reduced to a skeleton and the farmer has has arm around the vet and says "Well Doc, it sure looks like lighting, doesn't it?"
Vet always made it known, don't try to get him to sign unless it's a fresh kill and it really is lighting.
Cow died... struck by lightning?
