Near-north Ontario, French River | Any chance you are running out of Ram? Im pretty much computer illiterate LOL... When I download stuff , for some reason I had it going into one of the folders in "quick access" vs saving it to the hard drive . Worked fine for a couple years, then one day things got really slow, stuff started crashing etc.. eventually an error message came up saying I was out of memory. Me being computer illiterate, I asked a buddy of mine how I could possibly be out of memory when the "my computer' tab showed my harddrive was something like 96% free. He started asking a bunch of questions ( texting back an forth) and figured out I was saving everything to RAM... movies, music, photos, spreadsheets etc. I think what eventually crashed things was a big windows update that couldn't fully load ( in the back ground) do to lack of ram ... Well he had me move everything onto the harddrive and things returned to normal . |
