Subject: RE: When to get a feed grinder?

I never thought a feed grinder was a labor intensive and expensive piece to keep going...................Keep them greased, keep gear box oil changed, keep chains up to snuff and they just work for the most part. I will say after going from a 1150 IH, to a 357 NH with hydraulic drive and then going back to a Gehl 65 with mechanical drive after getting cows again after years without, I would have a hard time using a mechanical mill for very long. The 65 left pretty quick and I bought a nice 120 Gehl I am using now with hydraulic drive.
