Garner Iowa
that wont work with the D.O.T. a grain bin in not classified as an implement of husbandry. I am required to purchase permits for every move in every county and a seperate permit for any state road from the state DOT. Also have to contact all utility companies before each move. We used to try and move the bins with a farm tractor thinking it would be legal. Got pulled over by the DOT, huge fine, shut down until we had a liscenced vehicle with a gvr rating of 10001 lb. DOT does not consider the brakes on a tractor adequete to pull an oversized load. I now use a semi for every move. 18 to 36 foot bins, tanks ect. Tired of fighting the DOT.
Nice pics tho, was wondering how to put pics on here, could you let me know how you did that? Thanks, Rusty
