Subject: Would like to see pics of fertilizer set up on White planters

Big Springs, Nebraska
I apply liquid fert with my White 8816 planter and get along ok but wonder if there isn't a better way. First, I just dump behind the closing wheels and I am looking to stay with this location as opposed to a ground engagement tool out front. I know it isn't as good but I think I'm set on staying the same for now. But, I do get more fert splatter on my closing wheels than I like (especially on windy days). I use a John Blue piston pump with a flow divider. A couple years ago, the flow divider gave some trouble and now I just use it as a manifold and then installed check valves and orifices on each row. Adding these made it a little crowded behind the guage wheels and there just really isn't enough room to keep them from rubbing a little bit.

Would love some pics of your setup on your White planters as far as the type of tube(s) going behind the closing wheels and how you have routed everything along the row unit.

Thanks
