northeastern Ohio | Compressor died on our LG. It is one of those "linear" compressors and I think it had a 10 year parts warranty,,,, but only a 1 year labor. It was 3 years old and we had to pay about $300 for labor/service call. What a rip!
I see that they now have 5 year labor and 10 year parts.
The flap on the icemaker would not close this winter. Ice would fall out at random times and the ice would slightly melt inside. I watched a Youtube video to find out how to tear it apart. Found a piece of plastic had cracked. I put a longer screw in. Been good ever since.
I think I will get a commercial refrigerator next time. These consumer models just don't last, but do have some nice features. | |
