Hee (Snarf =) Frans, are you Dutch?

1. I think the future lies in a combination of map-based and sensor-based VRA.
2 +3. providing backups is just one of the advantages of such an architecture. I am convinced there is a future for webbased applications.
Especially where modelling of spatial information is involved; we can use supercomputers (central servers) to calculate 'what if' scenarios with huge amounts of weather, crop and soil data. Streaming sensordata from the field to a central server is part of a R&D program in the northern part of the Netherlands.
Standarization is a tricky one. To make it work, you have to do this in an International context. And that takes time ... a lot! But we should try.
4. It has to be a global player ....
