Not much spatter at all the drag chains are part of the beta testing. I don’t believe they are needed unless you have extremely tough soils. They are supposed to cover anything that would slip through in less than ideal conditions. The bandit tube puts the liquid 3/4 of an inch under the surface of the soil.
