n.c.iowa

We gotta a 500 Steiger hd that’ll just about toss you out of the cab if you turn the wheel too aggressively, when I bought it 4-5 years I complained about this and was told that’s just the way it is.

so I guess everybody that runs it has learned to make small, slow steering corrections.

i at one time though was thinking about adding adjustable orifice valves to the hydraulic steering cylinders.  Nobody could really tell me if this would work or not.

also there was a hydraulics company that made a inline device to adsorb pulses from a hydraulic circuit, it wasn’t a accumulator, per se. but a pulse dampener. It was something else I considered, but the product specialist was alittle leery of installing it on a steering circuit.  But I’m considering installing it to see if it’ll help.
