| I think aluminum is worth it. 0 maintenance. No peeling paint. Just use it.
If you are looking down at your pickup from 30’ in the air, I would want to see the bed in the shape of a rectangle. My bed from that view has the rear corners tapered. Not sure how to describe it but it is no fun to load an ATV in the back using ramps even if you find a place to park that keeps the ramps from being too steep. The edges of the ramps want to fold down. Sketchy. I really like my Hillsboro bed but if I were to do it again I would buy a different aluminum bed if I could find one that had a straight edge across the back for ATV ramps.
Too bad Hillsboro does not make one with a straight edge across the back.
It is very nice to find a bed that has fold down side rails.
Don’t know what you’re using it for but I guess I would want one that has built in high quality well sealed storage under the bed. Mine does not and if I added them I think the pickup would be more efficient.
