S.C. Wisconsin | When we were dairy farming we bedded with sand, so once a year in the fall we would take off 2 sheets where we had a concrete ramp that was level with the spreader. It usually took about 3 days with a couple of skidloaders and 3 spreaders going. On the end where we took the sheets off, we had a Houle system that would agitate from the bottom or the top. The bottom on would get rid of the solids where we took the sheets off. It was a quite a bit of work but it was still cheaper than getting stirring machine into the pit. | |
