| We have both and our track tractor is an 865C and had JD tracks previously.The tracks are not friendly to a manicured yard or turning short.Pulling straight they are fine but a little mud or ice and the wheel tractors are better.The tracks are better for storage compared to large metrics or triples.As far as compaction don't see much difference but most think tracks are better.Resale probably is a little better on tires.Many tracks in our area and a few Quads or newer style JD quads which some prefer and a couple went back to two track.As you can see pros and cons with both! | |
