Nunn CO | Where out millet is processed the plant uses one to take wild buckwheat out of millet. Buckwheat is black and even one seed in a pound screams out in all the yellow. Then you get customers asking why there is a black dot in their food?
They are slow and have a high clean-out rate. If buckwheat is bad it will take out an additional 5% after the product is perfectly cleaned. The air stream can't just take out a single seed, it plucks about 10 seeds at a time. I'm guessing its way better with big seeds like corn and beans though.
Oh, and they are EXPENSIVE! It was something like a half million buck to put one inline at the time. They had to go over it Italy, get it, ship it over, and set it up with a bunch of those guy that flew over with it. Sure does a good job though! | |
