Central WA | Exactly....let the market work. If prices don't justify planting that wet or rocky or erodible or weedy 40 you have, don't plant it to corn. And in the aggregate of many such small decisions the market will adjust to a price where supply comes into coherence with demand. But it will be painful for those who are reliant on government largesse to justify what they have agreed to pay for their land base.
