I don’t think “Big” ethanol never existed. In the energy sector it has always been on the hind teat.
What do you suggest instead ?
Considering Big Ethanol has failed every single time they tried something, I think it's time we move on to try something else. Obviously ethanol is NOT the answer to our surplus. The only thing that makes sense is a setaside program to limit production of corn.
Big Ethanol is too flimsy of a business to build the future, and it's impossible to plan the future of my farm and try to bring my son home. Ethanol is like a new tire with a small nail in it, you keep pumping it up but you know it is going flat.
