Subject: RE: Color grain sorter

I run a color sorter in pecans, the kernals after we shell. Alot of people use one before shelled. Since I shell I figure just sort after we shell. It's pretty accurate. I run an amvt. Some people run satake. I figure they work about the same. I think amvt is also known as Meyer??? Anyways it's Chinese equipment. But I got a place an hour away and the guys there are top notch when not if you need help understanding how to program somthing different. The more uniform the shape of the product going in the better you can sort. With pecan kernals it's tough no 2 are really the same.
When dialed in it's amazing how fast it really sorts and with such accuracy. First impressions can be there are good things in my regects but apon closer inspections there was probably a defect on it.
