Subject: RE: MF 8650 DEF code

We found eventually that the plugs down by the module were plugged into the wrong lines, giving a pressure line bad when it was the paired line. That didn't move initially, and frankly later on either when I swapped them back. It's plugged into the pressure line and still giving the paired line fault.

The dealer went through the power module again, checking and swapping relays and everything else. He checked resistance on the wiring on the lines, both the ones on the tractor (1 year old and 3 weeks old) and compared with the new ones he brought and got the same resistance.

He also redid a splice for one of the hose wires. Someone evidently had changed that plug in the past and there was some corrosion in the splice. Fixed and no change.

We even plugged in the new lines into the tractor with the old ones on and couldn't get rid of it.

There were times when he was there that the codes wouldn't come on. Display or his laptop. The final time, I told him I'd try it. 10 minutes in, the def fault indicator came on the display. Absolutely no code on the tractor. Ran a while that way before it started flashing and then you had about 20-30 minutes...

Rest of the day, reset, 10 minutes to flashing DEF indicator, 10 minutes to derate, reset, repeat.

I don't know what to expect today. Prior to today since I got done with anhydrous, I would get E4357 on startup. Let it run a bit and charge and warm up a little, shut down, reset battery and restart and it would be fine all day. Not yesterday.
