| The original design of the loadshaft on Waterloo tractors was a fixed non rotating design where those cap secure the shaft from rotating with the use of the pilot bolts. Since they do not move, over time they can rust up in the wishbone and be VERY difficult to remove. Worst case solution is weld a nut to one and slide hammer it out. Once you get one out you can drive the shaft over to remove the other one. Other opposite extreme is wear in the wishbone and the pilot bolts are unable to secure the caps. I'd rather your good parts to work with. Be sure your three point is down and load control lever is in the D position before removing the shaft. Hope this helps. | |
