Subject: What a joke, a choice!

NE Colorado

The "choice" not to plant GMO seeds is becoming harder and harder to exercise.

I have never planted a GMO but it is really hard to get non GMO corn seed anymore, I have to ask way in advance and even then my seed salesman is trying to push one or another GMO variety on me.

Worse yet, when I wanted to try soybeans as an experiment as I farm in a non soybean area, I really had a hard time getting non RR to try.

I can't even keep GMO seed off my property even if I do not plant them, I have volunteer RR corn growing in my summerfallow fields as the chicken farm I get manure from always throws in their manure pile any rotten corn they have some of which is invariably RR seed.

SO I "choose" not to plant GMO and still get it anyway!

Plain and simple, Monsanto is a ruthless monopolist. They want to do with genetic code the same thing Bill Gates did with binary code.

Do whatever you can get away with, moral or immoral, legal or illegal, just get away with it, thereby preventing any meaningful competition and then watch the bucks roll in from charging multitudes the marginal cost of producing yet another copy.
