I must be one of the few with a deep hatered to liquied fertilizer systems on equipment. Seems as though they are much more prone to leaks than dry, and when they do it runs or sprays everywhere. Your concern for fertilizer dust must be valid in many parts of the country, I remeber you have commented on it many times with regards to curvtine bearings. Here, there has never even been the slightest sign of a problem. We have to be very carefull about placing our phos too far in front of planting or it will become tied up and unavailable, one of the drawbacks of acid soils and low input farming. How different things are as you move across the country, we can plant a 100 day hybrid in early March or Mid July!! Neither very well some years like this one, we have DC beans waist high that will outyield much of our corn. Any tips for finding lost T2 cleaning wheels other than with the combine?? LOL I know exactly which field I lost it in and still can't find it. |
