Thank you hawkfan for pointing out what some forget. Pioneer has brought nothing in the way of biotech to the market to date and the one product that has come close keeps taking one step forward and two steps back and now needs propped up with Monsanto technology. Also not sure why Opt GAT is a step in the right direction. Last time I checked the ALS class of herbicides has one of the longest laundry list of resistance weeds. And the glyphosate resistance piece "posses a less than acceptable risk to growers", that may not be word for word, but I pretty sure those general words came from Pioneer????

In the spirit of the early analogy concerning the auto industry. Its not Monsanto's fault that Pioneer can't figure out how to get the engine to fire and now some feel they should be penalized for not giving them a tow. If you can't get the engine to fire, you shouldn't be in business.
