Glasgow, Ky | As with anything on here one size does not fit all. I respect you for the relationship angle vs high rent. I feel you are the exception rather than the rule for bigger operations based on what I have observed in the past few years. When land comes up for rent on the open market in my area you can pretty well bet a particular big operator is going to get it. No relationship involved, just top dollar. It seems there is no limit on how many acres they want to farm. Fifteen thousand or more right now and still climbing. Maybe this is the only area like that, but I doubt it. | |
