....One of the Purdue disease specialists related last week that a farmer in the southern part of the state thought he found SLB and treated  the whole (large) farm for $30+/acre. Sample sent to lab turned out to be NOT SLB, but a "look-alike" (although she did not say what that look-alike would be & I forgot to ask). Also, that must infer that the look-alike would not be controlled with fungicides. The overall theme, was there was generally no reason to apply fungicides this year, as they have found hardly any diseases. Both beans and corn.
