| Gypsum doesn't raise soil pH.
There are only 2 good reasons to apply gypsum: 1) trying to reclaim an area with excess sodium (Na) on a soil that has at least some capacity to leach the Na (i.e., there's drainage); 2) trying to remedy a situation where crops are frequently Ca deficient, which is quite rare except on peat soils or severe sand. | |
