If you determine that the ELC is bad it is quite likely that Ag Express Electronics could fix it for you.
They fixed the TCM (the brains for basically the whole tractor) for our 6144 White a few weeks ago. Much cheaper than a new one from AGCO and I had it back in less than a week from the time I sent it to them.
