washington iowa | I sprayed a couple of fields with contains. The label says to incorporate into the soil but I have never tilled 4 ever. I went out in the rain on several fields and incorporated it that way. I left check strips in all the fields. WM is just now showing up mainly on end rows where the planter doubled. I am hoping, if i get positive results, to apply it twice to the same field and have the sclorotia eaters seeded for ever . 15-20 bucks/acre if I remember. It was very frustrating last year to have all the areas that cranked 250 corn the year before be the lowest yield in the field by 40 bushel because of WM. The opposite was true where the water from all the rain dropped the bean stand to 40 to 80k the yield skyrocketed in as little as 100 yards! I continue to drop my planted pop and am down to 120k final, 130k to 140k planted. | |
