McCanna, ND | Depends how big of wire you want to run. I use .045 dual shield and I don’t run it much hotter then I do with .035 hardwire. A 252 Miller or similar would handle .045 fine if you had the appropriate mig gun. It puts out A LOT of heat when you get rolling. My 400 amp gun is marginal for the amount of heat it makes. I’ve had my hands get uncomfortable hot before through thick welding gloves when welding with dual shield. Overall it’s good stuff. | |
