Subject: RE: Country Clipper vs John Deere mower

Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana
I'm on my second one.

Both have been the "BOSS" which is the biggest model.

The first one had a 60" deck and the joystick. I ran it three and a half years and had no trouble at all, but I wanted a bigger deck.

The second one is a 72" deck and a twin-stick. I went to the twin-stick because I've got a shoulder that gives me some trouble and it did away with the sideways movement. If I was to guess, I'd say 90% they sell are joystick, they had to order the one I got to get the two sticks, didn't have any in stock out of twenty mowers or so
The engine is a 35 horse V-Twin Kawasaki (sp), and I've never run out of power.

I like the fact that they are 100% made in the USA. Actually by a grain bin company. The owner built decks for other companies (Grasshopper was one I know) for years to keep his employees working in the off months. He finally decided to just build the whole mower.

I'd strongly recommend one.
