One thing about a JD, you can get parts.  And not wait a month or discover that your model L667  has a different switch or pulley if it was made in July from the one in March and the L667 the following year had a different engine.  

I have a friend that was a JD service manager and is well known in our area.  He wears green underwear etc. but loves his Ferris lawn mower.
